History

The Autism Society of the Mid-South is an official chapter of the Autism Society of America, the oldest grass-roots autism organization in the country.  We became a chapter in November of 2008 and since that time, we have been striving to make the Mid-South a better place for those dealing with Autism. 

In 2009, our first full year of operation, the ASMS responded to over 160 requests for information either by telephone or email.  This is our one of our main goals - to provide unbiased and accurate information about autism, autism treatments and resources to find those treatments to parents, family members, and professionals who deal with autism on a daily basis.
